Stuart Sutton joined the University of Wisconsin Athletics Development staff in October 2018. As Director of Development for Premium Seating/Major Gifts, Sutton oversees all operational aspects of the Premium Seating program for Wisconsin Athletics. His other focus is to secure major gifts supporting the athletic departments initiatives related to student-athlete scholarships, facility projects, and other capital campaigns.
Before arriving at Wisconsin, Sutton worked with Ole Miss Athletics Foundation from 2014-2018. At Ole Miss, he was responsible for assisting with fundraising efforts of annual giving, premium seating, major gifts, courtesy car dealer program, and the $200 million Forward Together capital campaign. As part of the Forward Together Campaign, Stuart was a member of a fundraising team that helped complete funding for a new $95 million state-of-the-art basketball arena, indoor football practice facility, student athlete success center, Olympic sports center, football practice fields, new indoor tennis facility, track and field complex, and new premium seating areas in Football, Basketball, and Baseball.
Prior to Ole Miss, Sutton worked for the Crimson Tide Foundation within the University of Alabama Athletic Department as a graduate student. His responsibilities included assisting with the Sewell Thomas baseball renovation, annual fund, stewardship, external events and lettermen communication. His internship experience includes: Vanderbilt University Marketing Department, University of Alabama's Marketing/Sales Department, and UA Ticket Office along with the Chicago Bears Football Club. In addition, Sutton worked for the University of Illinois Football program and Athletic Department as a student assistant/undergraduate.
A native of Bourbonnais, IL, Sutton earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012. Sutton earned his Master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Alabama in 2014, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Higher Education. He was on the Varsity baseball team at Illinois State University from 2008-09 along with obtaining his private pilot's license in 2009-10 from Southern Illinois University.
Sutton is married to former Jenna Sunderland of Bloomington, Illinois and resides in the Madison area.
