What is the UW Annual Fund?

Wisconsin Athletics is responsible for both funding in-state and out of state scholarships. Since Wisconsin Athletics is a self-sustaining entity, all athletic scholarships are funded through generous gifts from passionate and loyal alumni and friends.

Benefit Allocation Process and Donor Rank

For 2023, Donor Rank for all benefits except Badger Select are based on the following:

1st — Annual Giving Level

Donor rank is first determined by annual giving level. Below is the table of 2023 annual giving levels and includes the number of donors at each annual giving level as of December 31, 2022.

2nd — Priority Point Ranking Within Each Annual Giving Level

Donor Rank priority points are based on the factors listed in the table below. These priority points are used for ranking within each Annual Giving Level. Donor Rank priority points are only applied for active donors.

Badger Select Information

Wisconsin Athletics is pleased to offer Badger Select, the user–friendly online seat selection process providing priority access for Wisconsin Football, Men’s Hockey and Men’s Basketball season ticket holders, as well as season parking opportunities for Football and Men’s Basketball.

Qualifying patrons will be assigned a personalized selection date and time based on Badger Select rank: 2023 Annual Giving Level and priority points as of December 31, 2017 plus 2018 – 2023 priority points accrued from non–deductible donations, and years of purchase for non–donor season ticket holders. Non–deductible donations include those associated with Priority Seating and Badger Select Seating Contributions. Priority Points will NOT be allocated for 100% deductible donations made in 2018 – 2023 for Badger Select Rank. These include gifts made to sport specific funds, endowed scholarships, or capital projects. Badger Select rank is different than Donor Rank.
