Project Details

A centerpiece of the new Nicholas Recreation Center, the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center is the Badgers' new home for the Swimming & Diving programs. Part of a $96 million project, the facility replaced the outdated Southeast Recreational Facility (SERF). With seating for 1,200 spectators, the new aquatic center will house all of the Badgers' practices and competitions under one roof. The new facility features a 50–meter pool, which is convertible to two 25–yard pools, as well as a 25–yard diving well below a full diving tower. The Badgers will have easy access to the new facility, with an enclosed walkway connecting the Nicholas Recreation Center to the team's locker rooms and lounge in the adjacent LaBahn Arena.
