The following list of questions and answers is intended to provide you with some general information regarding your generous gift to University of Wisconsin Athletics.

General Questions

If you are interested in becoming a suite or premium seat holder, please contact the Wisconsin Athletic Development office, (608) 262–1000 or development@uwbadgers.com.A waiting list will be kept by the Wisconsin Athletic Development Office for those premium seating areas that are currently sold out. There is no cost to be added to the waiting list, however, patrons will be contacted for availability based on the Wisconsin Athletics Priority Point System. If interested, in learning more, please fill out this form.

All contributions to Wisconsin Athletics are considered gifts to the University of Wisconsin and are credited at full value for purposes of the donor's gift record at the University of Wisconsin Foundation. As of January 2018, a contribution that entitles the donor to purchase tickets is no longer deductible as a charitable contribution for income tax purposes, according to IRS Code.

While gifts are accepted throughout the year, we recommend submitting your annual contribution by March 15th. Making your contribution by this deadline will ensure your enjoy all benefits for that year’s athletic seasons.

You must be a donor to Wisconsin Athletics in the current calendar year, January 1st – December 31st, in order to maintain active priority points for both Donor Rank and Badger Select Rank. Priority points are updated six times per year and are available online at UWBadgers.com.

Badger Select Rank is based on 2023 Annual Giving Level and Badger Select priority points. Badger Select priority points include: points as of December 31, 2017 plus 2018 – 2023 priority points accrued from non-deductible donations. Non–deductible donations include those associated with priority seating and Badger Select seating contributions.

For Badger Select Rank, 100% deductible donations made in 2018– 2023 will NOT be allocated towards Badger Select priority points. 100% deductible gifts include those to sport specific funds, endowed scholarships, or capital projects.

The UW Athletic Department is pleased to recognize supporters who make contributions to its programs in part by offering donors priority for various ticket, parking, and special event benefits. Since such opportunities can vary each year, contributions to the University are non-refundable.

Football Tickets & Parking

Yes, a limited number of season tickets become available on an annual basis in varying locations throughout Camp Randall. Football season tickets have renewed at a high level over recent seats, at or around 95%.

One of the many benefits of being an annual fund donor to Wisconsin Athletics is that all active donors (minimum $50 contribution) have the opportunity to request football season tickets.

While all active donors have the opportunity to request season tickets, the opportunity to purchase season tickets cannot be guaranteed based on contribution amount. As an active donor in 2023 who makes a football season ticket request by March 15th, you will be assigned a personalized selection date and time in Badger Select for the opportunity to purchase seats based on availability.

Yes, all contributions and football season ticket requests must be received by May 11th.

Qualifying donors will receive a season ticket request application from the Athletic Department. Applications are published weekly online at UWBadgers.com and are also mailed weekly from mid-March to late May. Donors may request season and single-game tickets by the May 11th deadline.

Current and prospective season ticket holders have the ability to add and/or change their season ticket location during Badger Select, the user friendly online seat selection process. Personalized date and selection times for Badger Select are based on Badger Select rank 2023 Annual Giving Level and Badger Select priority points. Badger Select priority points include: points as of December 31, 2017 plus 2018–2023 priority points accrued from non-deductible donations.

We encourage all season ticket holders to remain an active donor to Wisconsin Athletics. In addition to having a remarkable impact on the lives of our student-athletes, donors receive priority for a host of ticket, parking and special event benefits based on annual giving levels. Recommended minimum annual contributions for the opportunity to order seats in certain sections are as follows:

  • Sections E, T and FF – $400 each
  • Sections D, F, S, U, EE and GG – $300 each
  • Sections C, G, R, V, DD and HH – $200 each
  • Sections B, H, Q, W, CC and II – $100 each

Current season ticket holders and active donors to Wisconsin Athletics (minimum $50 contribution) looking to purchase additional season tickets or move their current season ticket locations should order their current football season tickets and make any applicable donations for their current seats by May 11th. During the Badger Select process, this will be the opportunity for the current season ticket holder to log in during their personalized date and selection time to add or change their current seats, based on availability. Men’s Basketball Tickets & Parking

The deadline for annual fund donors to request men’s basketball tickets is July 31st. A limited number of single game tickets may be available at the beginning of October. For more information, contact the UW Ticket Office at (608) 262–1440.

Men’s Hockey Tickets & Parking

Yes, there is season ticket availability for both the Face-off and Slap-shot series in various areas of the Kohl Center. For more information on opportunities, click here.

Contributions and hockey season ticket requests for current season ticket holders is March 15th. Contributions and hockey season ticket requests for NEW season tickets holders must be received by June 26th.

Premium Seats

The majority of our suites and premium seating are leased on and annual/season basis. However, football tickets for the Terrace and the south end zone hospitality terrace are available for single game purchase. Additional single game options may be available at a future date. A waiting list will be kept by the Wisconsin Athletic Development Office for those premium seating areas currently sold out. There is no cost to be added to the waiting list, however, patrons will be contacted for availability based on the Wisconsin Athletics Priority Point System.

Existing suite and club seat holders will have the first opportunity to renew their license agreement at the end of their lease term.

At the beginning of each lease term, renewing and new patrons within each respective premium seating area will have the opportunity to select their suite or club seat location based on the Wisconsin Athletics Priority Point System. The patron will then have that same location throughout the length of the lease term.

Upon commitment for a suite or club seats, all patrons will receive a standard license agreement for review and signature.

Invoices for all premium seating areas will be sent in March each year. We request payment to be made in full by May 11th to ensure qualification for all ticket, parking and special event benefits.

Lifetime Giving

Once a donor’s lifetime giving to Wisconsin Athletics reaches $250,000 or above.

Once a donor reaches the 250,000 level, a Wisconsin Athletic Development representative will contact you.

Gifts allocated to Wisconsin Athletics including the annual fund (Badger Fund), premium seating, capital projects, and endowments qualify donors for Badger Leadership Society membership levels and benefits.

Hall of Fame Brick Walk

Orders of Hall of Fame Bricks have been temporarily suspended. Please check back at a later date for updates.

Tax Reform & Athletic Seating Donations

Due to new federal tax law, starting January 1, 2018 contributions tied to priority seating in Camp Randall Stadium and the Kohl Center will no longer be tax deductible. The UW Foundation will issue an acknowledgement of the donation however since it is applied to your seating location within a UW facility it is non-deductible due to the change in tax law. We advise you to consult with your tax advisor.

All donations not tied to priority seating will continue to be 100% tax deductible. This includes donations for endowments, facility projects and sport-specific giving. The UW Foundation will issue you a receipt for your donation.

Badger Select Rank is based on 2023 Annual Giving Level and Badger Select priority points. Badger Select priority points include: points as of December 31, 2017 plus 2018–2023 priority points accrued from non-deductible donations. Non-deductible donations include those associated with priority seating and Badger Select seating contributions.

For Badger Select Rank, 100% deductible donations made in 2018–2023 will NOT be allocated towards Badger Select priority points. 100% deductible gifts include those to sport specific funds, endowed scholarships, or capital projects.

Priority Points for Donor Rank will be calculated as in past years within giving levels based on deadlines throughout 2023. Donor Rank will be used for all benefits except Badger Select. You will be assigned a personalized selection date and time based on your Badger Select rank. Badger Select Rank is 2023 Annual Giving Level and Badger Select priority points. Badger Select priority points include: points as of December 31, 2017 plus 2018–2023 priority points accrued from non-deductible donations.
