The following list of questions and answers is intended to provide you with some general information regarding your generous gift to University of Wisconsin Athletics.

General Questions

Contributions to Wisconsin Athletics provide the athletic department with the opportunity to meet immediate funding needs, such as student-athlete scholarships, travel, equipment, and other team related costs for all 23 varsity sports. Gifts provide a valuable foundation of support that helps make Wisconsin Athletics elite broad-based programs possible.

Yes. All gifts to Wisconsin Athletics are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Please consult your tax advisor to determine deductibility.

While gifts are accepted throughout the year, we recommend submitting your annual contribution by April 20th. Making your contribution by this deadline will ensure your enjoy all benefits for that year’s athletic seasons.

You must be a donor to Wisconsin Athletics in the current calendar year, January 1st - December 31st, in order to maintain active priority points. Priority points are updated five times per year and are available online at UWBadgers.com. Priority points are used in conjunction with annual giving levels to allocate all ticket, parking and special event benefits.

The UW Athletic Department is pleased to recognize supporters who make contributions to its programs in part by offering donors priority for various ticket, parking, and special event benefits. Since such opportunities can vary each year, contributions to the University are non-refundable.

Football Tickets & Parking

Yes, a limited number of season tickets become available on an annual basis in varying locations throughout Camp Randall. In addition, a limited number of Camp Randall club seats may also be available for the 2016 season. For more information on opportunities, amenities, and pricing for club seats, please click here.

One of the many benefits of being an annual fund donor to Wisconsin Athletics is that all active donors (minimum $50 contribution) have the opportunity to request football season tickets.

While all active donors have the opportunity to request season tickets, the opportunity to purchase season tickets cannot be guaranteed based on contribution amount. All current year requests will be reviewed first based on annual giving level and then priority points within each annual giving level listed below:

  • Ambassador’s Circle - $50,000
  • Hall of Fame Club- $25,000
  • MVP Club - $15,000
  • Champion's Club- $10,000
  • All-American Club- $5,000
  • Director's Club- $2,500
  • Coach's Club- $1,000
  • Captain's Club- $500
  • Red & White Club - $250
  • Walk-On Club - $50

Yes, all contributions and football season ticket requests must be received by April 20th.

Qualifying donors will receive a season ticket request application from the Athletic Department. Applications are published weekly online at UWBadgers.com and are also mailed weekly from mid-March to late April. Donors may request season and single-game tickets by the April 20th deadline.

While season ticket order rates remain high, season tickets become available in nearly every section inside Camp Randall Stadium each year. Requests for new season tickets, as well as requests for changes from current season ticket holders, are reviewed based on annual giving level, and then in priority point order within each giving level. Priority points are calculated using the Wisconsin Athletics Priority Point System.

Please note, each seating request is reviewed, but the volume of requests does not make personal consultation feasible. Therefore, please submit all seating notes on your ticket application and when applicable, seating decisions will be based on the best judgment of the Athletic Department.

Individuals will receive either an invoice or regret letter from the Wisconsin Athletic Ticket Office starting in June/July. The invoice will explain the request results for season tickets and/or single game tickets. Payment for all items is due upon receipt of invoice. If applicable, regret letters will be sent to patrons whose requests are unable to be filled.

Please note, requests may be filled in full or only a portion based upon availability. The athletic department may limit quantity of tickets based upon supply and demand. Contribution refunds will NOT be granted under any circumstance based on season ticket results.

We encourage all season ticket holders to remain an active donor to Wisconsin Athletics. In addition to having a remarkable impact on the lives of our student-athletes, donors receive priority for a host of ticket, parking and special event benefits based on annual giving levels. Recommended minimum annual contributions for the opportunity to order seats in certain sections are as follows:

  • Sections E, T and FF – $400 each
  • Sections D, F, S, U, EE and GG – $300 each
  • Sections C, G, R, V, DD and HH – $200 each
  • Sections B, H, Q, W, CC and II – $100 each

Current season ticket holders and active donors to Wisconsin Athletics (minimum $50 contribution) are eligible to request additional season tickets on their season ticket order form. Requests for additional season tickets, as well as requests for changes, are reviewed first based on annual giving level and then priority points within each annual giving level.

Men’s Basketball Tickets & Parking

The deadline for annual fund donors to request men’s basketball tickets is July 15th. A limited number of single game tickets may be available at the beginning of October. For more information, contact the UW Ticket Office at (608) 262-1440.

Men’s Hockey Tickets & Parking

Yes, there is season ticket availability for both the Face-off and Slap-shot series in various areas of the Kohl Center. For more information on opportunities, click here.

Contributions and hockey season ticket requests for current season ticket holders is April 20th. Contributions and hockey season ticket requests for NEW season tickets holders must be received by June 15th.

Patrons should make the request on the season ticket application, but should not include payment for the additional seats. The Athletic Department encourages patrons to make the request as broad as possible to increase the chances of the request being fulfilled. Patrons may request specific seats on their season ticket application, but please realize such requests will be difficult to fulfill. If your request for additional season tickets is fulfilled, the Athletic Department will mail an invoice in late July. All requests for additional season tickets will be reviewed first based on annual giving level and then priority points within each annual giving level.

The athletic department may limit quantity of tickets based upon supply and demand. Please do not include payment for additional seats with your ticket application.

Premium Seats

Suites and club seating are leased on and annual/season basis. However, football tickets for the Terrace are available for single game purchase.

If you are interested in becoming a suite or club seat holder, please contact the Wisconsin Athletic Development office, 608-262-1000 or development@uwbadgers.com.

A waiting list will be kept by the Wisconsin Athletic Development Office for those premium seating areas currently sold out. There is no cost to be added to the waiting list, however, patrons will be contacted for availability based on the Wisconsin Athletics Priority Point System.

Existing suite and club seat holders will have the first opportunity to renew their license agreement at the end of their lease term.

At the beginning of each lease term, renewing and new patrons within each respective premium seating area will have the opportunity to select their suite or club seat location based on the Wisconsin Athletics Priority Point System. The patron will then have that same location throughout the length of the lease term.

For all suite and club seat payments, the listed amount minus the cost of goods and services is considered a charitable gift to UW Athletics. That charitable gift amount is considered a gift to the UW Foundation on behalf of UW Athletics and is 80% deductible per IRS regulations.

Tax Benefit Example

  • Annual Contribution = $10,000
  • Goods & Services Received = $825
  • Total Contribution = $9,175
  • Tax Deductible Portion (80%) = $7,340

Upon commitment for a suite or club seats, all patrons will receive a standard license agreement for review and signature.

Invoices for all premium seating areas will be sent in March each year. We request payment to be made in full by April 20th to ensure qualification for all ticket, parking and special event benefits.

Lifetime Giving

Once a donor’s lifetime giving to Wisconsin Athletics reaches $250,000 or above.

Once a donor reaches the 250,000 level, a Wisconsin Athletic Development representative will contact you.

Gifts allocated to Wisconsin Athletics including the annual fund (Badger Fund), premium seating, capital projects, and endowments qualify donors for Badger Leadership Society membership levels and benefits.

  2. You are able to personalize your brick. Bricks are a great way to recognize family members, celebrate a recent graduation, or memorialize a loved one. Other examples of brick messages include celebrations of special occasions such as anniversaries or weddings, recognition of an organization, and sharing a favorite badger memory.
  3. For the 8” x 16” and 16” x 16” bricks, you may include a Motion W or Bucky Logo at no extra charge. Any other images or graphics are not permitted.
    1. On the 8” x 16” brick:
      1. A Bucky Logo is 9 characters wide and 5 lines tall.
      2. A Motion W is 4 characters wide and 2 lines tall.
    2. On the 16” x 16” brick:
      1. A Bucky Logo is 9 characters wide and 5 lines tall.
      2. A Motion W is 11 characters wide and 5 lines tall.
Orders must be received by the Wisconsin Athletic Development Office by June 15th each year.
Bricks are installed annually at the end of August.
When the Wisconsin Athletic Development Office receives your order, a confirmation letter will be sent to you. You will have 10 business days to make any changes to your brick inscription. If you do not receive your confirmation letter within two weeks of placing your order, please call (608)262-1000.
Upon brick installation in August, you can go online to the Brick Walk location directory to learn the exact location of your brick by clicking here.
You can specify on the order form where you would like your brick installed. As long as there is room available, all efforts will be made to install your brick to as close to your specifications as possible.
Replica bricks are mailed annually in September, after the brick installation at Camp Randall. Shipping and handling is included in the replica pricing.
